Call me crazy, but I love to learn new things and this is definitely a new thing for me.
Welcome to my blog, who knows how long this newest hobby will last but I will tell you that I am absolutely thrilled to be trying something new. I have over the last few years enjoyed dabbling at many new things. From electronics such as Arduino and microcontrollers, reading and writing schematics, 3D design and 3D printing, as well as self help books for leadership, team work, and a myriad of other topics. I have had my fair share of hobbies, I guess it is what keeps me feeling alive and engaged with the world around me. I have often read and even thought to myself if I'm not learning I'm dying. So this whole blog thing is my next learning experience.
There are a couple of things I hope top accomplish here:
- Learn how to blog
- Learn about Blogger, (the Google blog website tool)
- Learn about creating and hosting websites
- Capture my ideas and hobbies, (I have a lot so keeping track of them is a hobby in itself)
- Better organize myself
- Become better at writing and story telling
- Learn to be engaged with an audience, (even if I am the only audience member)
- Learning to use my creative side, (I have accused myself of not being artistic in the past but I believe that is just intellectual laziness on my part)
- Become better at spelling and grammar, (seriously, it is a problem, don't hate we all have weaknesses)
- Stress relief, a large part of the information I have read, watched, and consumed explicitly state that writing down your thoughts before bed is a great way to get a good nights sleep and to reduce stress. While it sounds crazy to me, why not try it?
- Use it as a form of escape, (I enjoy TV and video games but I think a blog is more
practiclepractical, (<-- see I am already learning!) - There are more but I covered the lions share above so I won't list them.
